The Bay of Islands is #1 for visitors to North Island of NZ

In a recent review of visitor’s preferences for the best places to visit in New Zealand's north island The Bay of Islands is now number one.  Knocking places like Rotarua, Hobbiton, Napier, Wellington's Te Papa, and Auckland down the list.

The Bay of Islands has all the beaches, heritage, culture, activities and adventure to satisfy even the most ardent tourist. Mix into that the town of Kerikeri having quite probably the best culinary experiences from over 10 wonderful restaurants.  Art trails and pamper places.  There really is something, sorry correct that, there really is loads for everyone.

The Bay of Islands is in fact a large geographical chunk of Northland taking in Russell, Paihia, Kerikeri, Kawakawa, and Kaeo.  88 Lodge is so perfectly located for our guests to get the very best of everything this beautiful piece of God’s country has to offer.

It's not many who receive ‘HALL OF FAME’ status. This makes us a B&B not to be missed
