Rocco joins the team at 88.

Rocco is a chocolate coloured Labrador cross who joined us here at 88 in August 2016.

He was a rescue dog who was found as a puppy abandoned by the side of the road with his 2 brothers and taken to the local shelter.  He was cold, wet and starving.  He started to revive well but was the runt of the litter.  His bigger brothers soon got adopted away but Rocco suffered from an allergic reaction to a bee sting and so the pound kept him back from adoption until he recovered.

On the day we decided a dog would be a good addition to the household he was made available for adoption.  When we looked on the internet for dogs available locally Rocco was the first to pop up.  It was fate that he should come to us.

He is cool, calm and so gentle.  Not excitable and very laid back.  Considering we have such wonderful gardens for him to wander through he is not really interested and far prefers to stick closely to Chris’s side.  When Chris moves outside Rocco has to be encouraged to follow.  This may have something to do with his history but gradually he is starting to be a bit more adventurous.

The first guests who met Rocco just adored him so we think he is going to fit in here just fine.

It's not many who receive ‘HALL OF FAME’ status. This makes us a B&B not to be missed
