Cyclone Lusi leaves her calling card

It’s not often we have bad weather but every now and then we do get a bit of a blow.  Just recently Cyclone Lusi took a side swipe at New Zealand and whilst there was no major damage anywhere we did loose a couple of boughs from our beautiful Liquid Amber Trees.

The weather here in The Bay of Islands is generally ‘mild to good’ all around the year.  We do not get the baking hot nor the freezing cold.  Northland is known as the ‘Winterless’ north and this is so true.  The coldest winter night would be around 5C and the warmest summer day around 30C.   Generally there is a daytime / nightime temperature spread of approx 10 to 15 degrees throughout the year.  So no major excesses just a lovely comfortable atmosphere to live in and visit.

It's not many who receive ‘HALL OF FAME’ status. This makes us a B&B not to be missed
