Clivia’s in the woods.

Spring has most definitely arrived at 88 Lodge.  The gardens are awash with colour.  The Lime Acer competing with the Judas Tree to give a confusion of lime green and magenta.  Chris has been cultivating Clivia’s (sometimes known as Kaffir lily or Bush lily) which this spring has brought splashes of bright orange throughout our woodland areas.  Stunning, and has to be seen to be believed.

Talking of orange the orange trees this year are looking at there very productive best.  So laden with fruit the branches are in danger of snapping off under the weight.  There are not many Bed and Breakfast accommodations where you can pick your own oranges to be squeezed and presented with your breakfast but 88 Lodge sure is one.  Once fresh real orange juice is tasted you’ll always notice the difference from the shop bought stuff.

It's not many who receive ‘HALL OF FAME’ status. This makes us a B&B not to be missed
